Essar is pleased to announce the further strengthening of its Executive Leadership Team with the appointment of Sunil Puri as the Company’s General Counsel with responsibility for Legal, Governance and Company Secretarial.

His extensive experience includes managing large legal teams and external counsel in many countries, progressing company growth and commercial initiatives whilst ensuring governance requirements are adhered to.
Commenting on his appointment, Sunil Puri said: “The ability demonstrated in Essar’s refinery operations coupled with its progressive plans to build a green energy industrial cluster at the Stanlow site contributing to the UK Government’s Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution make for a compelling and attractive proposition. I’m looking forward to working with new colleagues and being part of the next phase in the ongoing success of Essar.”
Chairman Prashant Ruia commented: “We are very pleased to have Sunil on board as General Counsel and to benefit from his wealth of industry expertise and corporate experience for both our Executive Leadership Team and as advisor to the Board.”
